Pakistan has a wide range of scholarships offered for Pakistani students as well as international students.
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan works for the quality of education as well as the availability of scholarships for deserving and extraordinary students.
Fully Funded Scholarships for Pakistani Students 2023-24
Many universities also give their own scholarships to students both in the private and public sectors. This helps the country to grow well and good students to carry out their studies.
There are a large number of scholarships for Pakistani students based on different criteria and fields. Most of the scholarships are Merit-based and Need-based.
However, there are different scholarships for students who have extraordinary records in sports. This article is based on Pakistani scholarships which can help a hardworking or deserving student to continue his studies.
1. HEC Science Scholarship Scheme for Undergraduate
HEC of Pakistan is an established institution for the primary funding process, regulating and overall making efforts for higher education in Pakistan.The HEC Science Scholarship Scheme for Undergraduate Program, officially called Science Talent Forming Scheme (STFS), is one of the best scholarship programs which is sponsored by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
The objective of HEC Scholarship Program
The main objective of the program is to give scholarships for the students who have an extraordinary record in their studies and want to study science.
This is the best scholarship for developing the thinking skills of the best students.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria for applying for a scholarship for Higher Secondary School education is described here.The minimum marks in Higher Secondary School Education are 80% and In Secondary School Education the marks are 85% to apply.
A student who is enrolled in other scholarships is not eligible to apply.

2. Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship Program
It is a policy by the Government of Pakistan in order to support 50,000 students at the undergraduate level who are unable to pursue their university education due to their poor financial education and limited resources.Ehsaas scholarship program contributes for 4 to 5 years undergraduate program which will help the youth to complete their bachelor's degrees, providing them 100% tuition fee and Rs 4000 per month as a stipend.
This scholarship covers tuition fees and a stipend of the university for four to five years of the degree program. This is a better step for ensuring affordable higher education in all fields of study.
The scholarship also has an aim for promoting female education therefore 50% of scholarships are reserved for females in the whole Project.
Who is Eligible for Ehsaas Program scholarship?
Eligibility criteria for the scholarship are given here.
New students whose admission is done on merit fulfilled the criteria. This will help the student to study. The scholarship is for the degree programs allowed by HEC.
The maximum age is the same as the maximum age for applying in undergraduate programs by HEI.

3. Need-Based Scholarship in Pakistan 2023-24
The main aim of the scholarship is to provide opportunities for the students from financially low backgrounds who are talented and to empower them to complete their higher studies in well-reputed public institutions or universities.
The students are needed to secure admission in the institution according to the admission strategy and must be enrolled in an undergraduate (4 years) degree program.
Students that are already enrolled can also apply for this scholarship.
Terms and Conditions
The scholarship will be awarded by viewing the financial condition of the applicant and decided by the Institutional Scholarship Award Committee.
The number of seats is decided by the universities and in the case of a Medical or five years degree program, the funding will be provided for the whole program.
Students are also awarded additional six thousand rupees per month for their own stipend.

4. The Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF)
PEEF is a major program that has a lot of scholarship programs in it. The program was started by Shahbaz Shareef and it is growing day by day.
The program has a lot of achievements, giving laptops and different kinds of scholarships for different fields.
PEEF scholarship is an on-going program that offers a scholarship for students having different levels of study programs and the program offers scholarships every year.
About the PEEF Scholarship
PEEF allocated about 20% of its annual scholarships for Master's degree programs. PEEF scholarship is one of the kinds of scholarship which is offered on each level either Matric, F.Sc. B.Sc. Master's degree and Ph.D. programs.
Eligibility Criteria
The criteria are different based on the study level of the student.
The student should have a Punjab domicile for applying. For graduation, it is necessary that the applicant should hold 60% marks.
For a Master's degree, the GPA should be 2.5/4.0 and for a Ph.D. program applicant should hold 60% marks in the academic career.
In the PEEF scholarship, the financial condition of the applicant is also considered.
5. National Endowment Scholarships for Talent (NEST)
The NEST program is for the brightest and the most talented youth of the country. The organization explores various talents that are distributed in different areas of Pakistan.
There are some rules which are needed to be fulfilled to apply in the NEST program.
Rules and Conditions
Students who are extremely talented and bright are able to apply, NEST will provide full financial assistance and care for such students.
Applicant should have at least 65% marks in his Matriculation, admission of the candidate is on a merit basis and the applicant must be talented.
The financial condition of the student has considered elite class is not eligible to apply.

Family income should not be more than 45,000 per month.
Students from undeveloped areas and districts are encouraged to apply.
6. US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor Ph.D. Scholarship Program
The aim is to provide scholarships to 10,000 Pakistani students to complete their Ph.D. program from US Universities in the selected areas.
In Phase-I about 1500 scholarships are given through the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP). This is to improve the quality of research and education to enhance academic capability.

Eligibility
The applicant should be Pakistani/AJK nationals and should have MS/M.Phil. degree from HEC recognized university.
The candidates who have 4 years of bachelor's degree can eligible for direct admission at US universities to start the Ph.D. programs.
Already enrolled students in the Ph.D. programs are also considered. It is important that the applicant secure admission on a merit basis.
He should not have any 3rd division or D grade in his academic record. Also, not less than 50% marks in his academic history.
